To qualify for a Firelands Habitat for Humanity home you must meet three criteria:

  1. Have enough income to pay the Habitat mortgage (at least $26,400 annually).
  2. Have a proven need for better housing.
  3. Volunteer for Firelands Habitat 400-500 hours.
Firelands Habitat is currently accepting applications for our housing program. Applicants interested in partnering with us to build affordable housing in Erie or Huron Counties can pick up an application at our office, 7602 Milan Rd. Sandusky, Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm.
Applications are due Friday, November 6, 2026.
